This charger/desulphator requires 115 vac and a minimum of 11 volts in the battery before you connect to it. So, if your battery is dead, be sure to bring it up the 11 volt minimum before hooking the unit up or it could overheat and be ruined....
They’re cheap compared to lithium, and pretty easy to come by considering industrial uses, solar battery back ups, and of course golf carts. I settled on a truck because it gives me more options for carrying lead acid batteries. A lot of garage conversions use lead acid batteries. $950 got me a truck that needs some TLC, but otherwise it’s pretty solid....
The house bank is made up of 4 Trojan T-105 6VDC golf cart batteries connected in series-parallel so that I essentially have 2 large 12 VDC batteries. This bank has a total of around 250 usable amp-hours available for running the lights, autopilot, bilge pump, refrigerator, watermaker, stereo, 2-way radios, fans, inverter for charging the computer and cell phones, etc....
I'm thinking of replacing the batteries in my EZ Go golf cart. They have Trojan t-105's now but they are five years old and are shot. I'm thinking of using a different brand if I can find one suitable. HELP PLEASE.
Any tricks I should
My golf cart has 6-6 volt Trojan batteries and one is going bad. Since they were all purchased together I expect the others to go bad soon. My question is, since my cart runs on a 36-volt system can I replace the 6-6 volt batteries with 3-12 volts? It
